Program & Grant Deadlines:
PTA Reflections Submissions Due: Check with your local PTA; County submissions will be due early/mid-December
Betty Bull Scholarship Applications Due: March 15, 2027
Compliance & Governance Milestones
Summer / Start of Year (July – September):
• Join a PTA! (July - June window)
• Update Office Contact Roster in Givebacks (June/July and as officers change)
• Pay insurance (before June 30)
• Establish financial review committee (June/July)
• Verify bylaws are current (annually; update every 3 years)
• PTA/PTSA Board End of Year and Planning Meetings (July)
• Set dates for upcoming fiscal year (July/August)
• Pay dues (monthly to FSPTA and HCCPTA; Givebacks preferred)
• Financial review committee initiates/completes financial review (July-September)
• Financial Review Committee (FRC) results presented to general membership (August - October)
• Upload membership approved financial review in Givebacks
Fall Compliance (October – December):
• IRS Form 990 / 990-N Filing Deadline: November 15, 2026 (can be started as early as July 1)
• Upload IRS 990 in Givebacks
• Maryland Charitable Renewal (December 31; can be started as early as July 1)
• Begin recruitment for the upcoming year!
• Upload Maryland Charitable Renewal in Givebacks
Spring / Year-End Transition (January – June):
• Personal Property Return (April 15; can be started as early as January)
• Upload Personal Property in Givebacks
• Pay dues (monthly to FSPTA and HCCPTA; Givebacks preferred)
• Register for Free State PTA convention (May-July)
