Welcome to the Harford County Council of PTA!

Established in 1939, the Harford County Council of PTA, Inc. serves as a vital resource for local PTA leaders across Harford County. The HCCPTA, like all PTAs across the State of Maryland, is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and all PTAs in Harford County are 100% volunteer-led.

Collectively, our board and volunteers possess more than 150 years of combined personal and leadership experience. We view volunteerism as a professional endeavor—the business and organizational skills you acquire in PTA leadership are directly transferable to your career and personal exchanges.

Our Mission & Community Liaison Role

Our mission is to provide guidance, support, and training through advocacy-based activities to all local PTA leaders, families, staff, students, and community members. We proudly serve as the liaison between our local units and Free State PTA, while maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) Central Office and administration across the county.

Harford County PTA volunteers demonstrate unwavering dedication and perseverance. We encourage you to join, support, or lead a local PTA or PTSA.

Thank you for being here—what you do matters!
