"I thank you for your dedication to the children of Harford County and for working to improve the educational experience for all HCPS. I am extremely fortunate to work alongside you and hope you will contact me should you ever have questions, suggestions or concerns."
The Edgewood PTA has had an amazing year so far. Membership grew exponentially, almost tripling in size, and parental involvement sky-rocketed. Over 200 people attended the October Trunk-Or-Treat and local businesses helped to sponsor this event. We hosted a Thanksgiving food drive and provided meals for disadvantaged families. In December, we ran a Holiday Shoppe, which gave students the chance to purchase presents for their friends and families for $1 (or less). Finally, we just completed our January clothing drive and collected over 20 bags of clothes for needy families in the area. In February, we hope to sponsor a Valentine's Day Dance, in April we hope to have a PARCC rally and we are already beginning to plan for a huge end-of-the-year carnival. Our mission, "To Connect, Support and Revitalize the Edgewood Community" is clearly happening, thanks to the support of the staff, teachers, parents and students at Edgewood Elementary School!
